Making fresh sprouts at home with the whole moong dal is extremely simple. Though the process is a little long but it doesn’t require a lot of effort and it is always better than getting it from the market.I am sharing here the step by step procedure to grow sprouts at home.
- 1/2 cup whole green moong dal
- 1/4 cup whole black gram (kala chana)
- Water to soak the Lentils/dal
Note:
- Adding black gram is optional. Either both can be mixed together or make both the sprouts separately. The procedure will be same.
- You can also add brown moong dal to this.
- Usually, it is said that we need to tie the dal in a cloth to let the sprouts grow but if you don’t have a cloth, we can leave it like that in the vessel by draining out all the water. I always do that and it gives me the exact results
