Mango Juice | Mango Frooti

Mango is a fruit with which we can make unimited number of recipes. That may be one of the reasons why it is called the “King of fruits.”Here, in this recipe I am sharing the exciting recipe to make refreshing mango juice. It is quite similar to what we get from the market with the name “Mango Frooti” which is so much loved by kids but the only difference is this is purely homemade and without any preservatives.

 This is definitely a great drink to make you feel refreshed & enegized on a hot summer day.My son loved this juice a lot and he is quite convinced that this is not the same which he always picks up from the grocery stores.

Note:

1. If you want the juice to be pulpy and thick, do not strain it.2. Quantity of water to dilute the juice can be increased or decreased as per choice. If you want it thick & pulpy do not add too much water.3. Add chaat masala or roasted cumin powder if you like or skip it completely to retain the original taste of mangoes.

Recipe:

1. Peel the mangoes and chop in small cubes and put in a pan. Add 2 cups of water to it.Discard the seed.

2. Cover with a lid and cook for 5 minutes until mangoes turn soft and mushy. Once cooked, let it cool completely.

3. In another pan, add sugar and 2 cups of water.

4. Bring it to boil until sugar dissolves. Let it cool.

5. Now, transfer the cooked mangoes in a blender jar and blend it nicely to make a smooth pulp.

6. Strain the pulp using a strainer to make it smooth. Add the sugar syrup to it. Mix well.

7. Now, add water to dilute it. Quantity of water may vary as per the required consistency. Keep in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours and serve chilled.
