In this post I am sharing a super easy and delicious recipe for Smoked Paneer Tikka Sandwich which I have made without oven, tandoor and griller.
I am a big time sandwich lover and consider sandwiches as my comfort and go-to food at all times. I often make different variety of sandwiches for breakfast and dinner and my family loves it.
If there is a left over dry veggie at home, I can use that as a sandwich filling and grill it. It is such a quick and filling and a great way to feed the kids with a variety of vegetables. Hence, this is one of the several reasons for my love for sandwiches.
In this recipe I have made Paneer Tikka in Kadhai and toasted the sandwich on Tawa. This is a super yummy sandwich recipe without any complicated procedure & tools and we can have this sandwich as a breakfast or a tea time snack.

Ingredients:
- 200 gnms paneer
- 2 tablepsoons oil
- Red chilli powder to taste
- 1 tablespoon chaat masala
- 1 tablespoon garam masala
- 2 tablespoons gram flour (besan)
- 3-4 tablespoons hung/thick curd
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- 1 tablespoon crushed kasoori methi
- 1/2 tablespoon roasted cumin powder (bhuna jeera powder)
- Salt to taste
- 1 small onion (chopped)
- 1 small capsicum (chopped)
- Bread slices
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- butter as needed
- coriander chutney (as needed)
Notes/Tips to follow
Recipe to make Smoked Paneer Tikka Sandwich
- Firstly take 2 tablespoons oil in a mixing bowl.
- Add all the dry spices & curd and whisk well.
- Now add chopped onions and capsicums, Mix well.
- Further add paneer cubes and mix gently.
- Keep aside for 20 minutes to marinate.
- Take 2 tablespoons oil in a kadhai.
- Add marinated paneer.
- Cook for 2 minutes at a low flame until .
- Add ginger garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes until it starts leaving oil from the sides.
- Place hot charcoal on the cooked paneer and add 1 tablespoon ghee.
- Cover it for 2-3 minutes for a smoky flavour.
- Apply some butter on a bread slice and coriander chutney on the other slice.
- Generously place the Paneer tikka stuffing and cover with another slice.
- Toast on a tawa from both the sides until turn crispy.
- Smoked Paneer Tikka Sandwich is ready to be served. Enjoy with tomato ketchup or coriander chutney:)

Notes/Tips to follow
- To make paneer tikka, marinating the paneer in spices and curd is very important.
- Preferably use hung curd for marinating.
- To make the sandwich, I have used the whole wheat bread, but you can use any bread of your choice.
- You can also toast the sandwich in a toaster instead of tawa.

12. Apply some butter on a bread slice and coriander chutney on the other slice.
