Note/ Tips to follow:

  • We usually make dhokla by steaming it but this time I have tried it in the microwave oven for a change and this also turned out really well. I will also share the steamed Dhokla recipe in sometime.
  • To make it spongy and we can use any of the three i.e. citric acid, Eno or baking soda.
  • Cooking time depends on the power of the microwve. For me, it got ready in 6 minutes.
  • We can garnish the dhokla with grated coconut & corainder leaves. I did not have it this time so skipped this. 😞
  • You can serve the dhokla cold also with any chutney or sauce of your choice like mint, coriander, tamarind or yogurt-spinach chutney.
